AfroFest is Richmond Virginia’s Premier Festival celebrating African Culture & People representing the 54 Countries on the Continent of Africa.
AfroFest is presented by ACN – African Community Network, a community service organization serving the Richmond Metro African Immigrant & African Diaspora communities. Started thru the inspiration of Olivier Faye of Senegal, nurtured by the leadership of Djbril Niang- Senegal, Mahamadou Tandia - Mauritania, Dr. Nana Derby - Ghana & Alfred Powell - Descendant of West Africa - US born, & dedicated Executive Boards, it has grown to be a highly anticipated feature of Richmond’s Festival of the Arts and the Regions Arts & Tourist Attractions; drawing thousands to its vibrant celebration.

Celebrate African Culture at “AfroFest RVA 2025”, September 6, 2025, 12:00 noon – 7:00 pm, Pine Camp Cultural Arts & Community Center, 4901 Old Brook Rd. Richmond VA 23227, hosted by ACN – The African Community Network – RVA in partnership with the City of Richmond VA, OIRE - Offices of Immigrant & Refugee Engagement & Parks & Recreation Dept. Special Guests are “Nuke Major” AfroBeats Artist - Nigerian descended, “Tapha” of Senegal, “EziBu Muntu” – Richmond’s premier West African Dance Troup, Live Ghanaian Bands, Spoken Word Artists, Professional Drummers & Drum Circles (Bring Your Drums) w/ Audience participation. Live DJ Augustine Weah Doe, & many other performing artists. Traditional Libations ceremony will start the Day.
